  2.                             Installation Instructions
  3.                             -------------------------
  4.  
  5.        The executable code, the documentation, and necessary data files
  6.        are combined into the compressed, self-extracting file MAINLINE.EXE.
  7.  
  8.        An installation batch file INSTALL.BAT is also supplied.
  9.  
  10.        If you have received the program on diskette,
  11.  
  12.        Insert the diskette in your floppy drive. Set the default directory
  13.        to the floppy drive. (Example, a:)
  14.  
  15.        Run the batch file by typing
  16.  
  17.             A:>INSTALL from: to:
  18.  
  19.        where from: and to: are the floppy drive and the harddisk drive.
  20.        (i.e. A:, B:, C:, or D: - be sure to include the colons)
  21.  
  22.        Example    A:> INSTALL A: C:
  23.  
  24.        The install program will create a subdirectory C:\MAINLINE and
  25.        install the following necessary files in it.
  26.  
  27.                     ML.EXE       - The executable code
  28.                     MAINLINE.DOC - Instruction Manual
  29.                     SMVGA.FNT    - Font File
  30.                     SMCGA.FNT    - Font File
  31.  
  32.        To run the program, set the default drive to C:\MAINLINE
  33.        and type ML.
  34.  
  35.        If for some reason the INSTALL process does not work, the program
  36.        can be installed manually as follows.
  37.  
  38.        a. Create a subdirectory on your harddisk such as C:\MAINLINE.
  39.        b. Copy MAINLINE.EXE into that subdirectory.
  40.        c. Set default drive/directory to the subdirectory
  41.  
  42.                CD C:\MAINLINE
  43.  
  44.        d. Type MAINLINE.EXE. The program and documentation will self-extract.
  45.  
  46.        If you have obtained the program from an on-line service such as
  47.        COMPUSERVE or from a Bulletin Board, use the manual procedure described
  48.        above and install MAINLINE. All necessary files are included.
